The Assaying & Refining Conference programme is under development.
The call for papers is open until Friday, 20 January 2023. Presentations will be 15 minutes in length plus, 5 minutes for questions. Please follow the abstract requirements and submit your application to gdl@lbma.org.uk.

Keynote Speaker
The keynote speaker for the first day of the conference is Leo Simpson (Project Engineering Manager, Metalor USA) with his presentation A Lifecycle Approach to Safety in Refineries – From Design to Continuous Improvement.
Leo Simpson has spent most of his professional career in the precious metals refining and chemical industries, starting as a research technologist with Mintek and DeBeers Diamond Research Laboratories in South Africa. Subsequently, he moved to Metalor Technologies USA, and Elemetal Refining. He returned to Metalor USA in 2017 where he currently serves as an Engineering Manager.
